We’ve been shortlisted!

Spacehub has worked in collaboration with world-leading design thinkers to create an innovative think piece in response to “How can Begbroke be both global and local; a place of world changing science whilst at the same time somewhere to call home?”

Colander Associates ran the competition on behalf of Oxford University Development to find creative and forward-thinking designers that could deliver world leading innovation with sustainable housing and regenerative landscapes. The Stage 1 competition generated exceptional interest with a total of forty entries from leading design firms. We have been selected to take as one of five shortlisted teams to take part in Stage 2 of the competition.

The team – led by Prior & Partners – comprises several world-leading design thinkers including (but not limited to) The Place Bureau, Alison Brooks Architects, Wilkinson Eyre Architects, dRMM, Gillespies, Ramboll, Stantec, Hoare Lea, Keith Orlesky, Philipp Bouteiller, Pooran Desai, Transition by Design, Transsolar, Usman Haque and Jonathan Rose Companies.

The shortlisted entry creates an innovative vision for Begbroke inspired regenerative landscape practices to respond to existing and future climate pressures. This project is an exciting opportunity to develop a new model for housing developments which has regenerative landscapes at its core; for healthier living which builds a better legacy for future generations.

Keep your eyes peeled for more on the project!
