Sam Simson

Sam is an intern mid-way through his Master of Landscape Architecture Course at the University of Greenwich.

His first-year design studio project focused on the coastal town of Felixstowe and nearby protected nature reserve on Landguard peninsula. The project investigated the area’s military past, whilst addressing the future risks of rising sea levels, storm surges, and increasing port industrialisation.

The final output of his project was a physical ‘tapestry’ which experimented with multiple materials at multiple scales to illustrate the dynamic aspects of the landscape. Sam was part of a small team curating a mid-term exhibition displaying the design studio work of his whole unit.

Prior to studying landscape architecture, Sam achieved a Physics International degree at the University of Leeds, spending a year studying at Seoul National University in South Korea. He has since gained experience in a variety of industries including music and aerospace.

Sam’s graphic and 3D modelling skills bring creativity, quality and design rigor to our projects; his passion for creating ecologically harmonious spaces with an understanding of the social complexities of a site have been applied to a number of our recent residential led schemes.
