Ruby Allison

Ruby joined Spacehub in October 2023 after completing her undergraduate degree in Landscape Architecture at the University of Greenwich.

Ruby believes it is important for our landscapes to be innovative and memorable, where everyone is involved in the design process. She is excited by community led concepts and narratives derived from a site’s unique quality, and designs that facilitate a climate positive synergy, delivering human and landscape needs.

Whilst studying Ruby also worked as a freelance climbing wall instructor and became interested in applying her personal experience as a climber and instructor of the sport to her design practice. She wrote about this concept in her dissertation ‘Bridging a Connection’, where she explored climbing as an embodied practice and how it has shaped her unique perspective of the landscape. Her dissertation has been shortlisted for the Student Dissertation Landscape Institute Award 2023.

Ruby brings a robust process of thorough analysis, engagement and excellent graphic and verbal communication skills to her project work.
