Matt Pepper is a creative and highly-skilled landscape architect with over 12 years’ experience of effectively delivering award-winning landscape architecture across a range of scales, sectors and budgets. He gained experience in practices in his native New Zealand before relocating to London and joining Gillespies in 2016 and Spacehub in 2022.
Matt has proven experience working with ambitious clients on large-scale urban, commercial, residential, educational and public realm projects, and has a particular expertise in waterfront and coastal developments.
Matt prides himself as being an all-rounder, working on all stages from feasibility to delivery. Since residing in the UK, he has been leading several large international and UK projects including being the consortium lead for the SW St Helier Waterfront Masterplan, and landscape lead on several multi-phased projects in London, Moscow and Manilla.
Matt’s organised and strategic approach to his work combined with his meticulous design and project management skills has been essential to the success of his projects, and quality management at Spacehub.
Matt is passionate about collaboration with clients and consultants, looks for moments of joy in every project and is always eager to apply climate positive design, improving people’s connection with the natural world and providing social equity in the public and private realm.
