Spacehub alongside Assael Architecture, working closely with the Croydon Placemaking Team, are pleased to have received planning permission for St Michael’s Square Croydon, on Thursday 28th January 2016. The proposals for – Barratt London – provide a high quality residential and retail development that links West Croydon Station to the retail heart of North End and the future redeveloped Whitgift Shopping Centre. This exciting addition to the town centre will provide 232 new homes, 750 sqm of retail space and a new square and public realm that opens up views to the Grade I listed St Michael and All Angels Church. The new square is inspired by elements of church, such as its iconic rose window and chequered floor. Construction is expected to begin during 2016 with completion anticipated in 2019.
