As part of our research and development programme Spacehub recently visited Marshall’s source quarry for Scoutmoor Yorkstone in Lancashire. It was a fascinating visit, witnessing the large blocks of rock being extracted and split before visiting the Cromwell production factory where the rock is wet sawn into slices before being cut into smaller paving units . To better understand the materials we specify we always like to see the whole production line and hand select the particular materials we want for each unique project.
