Spacehub worked with Dorrington and Buckley Gray Yeoman on this office refurbishment in Clerkenwell. The design proposals seek to create a high quality landscape, which will enhance the experience for the users of the building. The proposals feature three key spaces:

The Courtyard – To the rear of the building, the existing plant equipment will be relocated inside the building. Planted areas will enhance the environment for both the lower ground tenant and cyclists who use the rear entrance for cycle storage. Plant species will be selected for shade tolerance and architectural form. Climbing plants will cover the blank façade, further enhancing the space.

The Reception – The entrance to the building will comprise a number of elements – a plinth; a feature bench; and a curved staircase – all of which will be planted with species suitable for indoor growing conditions. Additionally, planting will frame the entrance portal to the building.

The Roof Terraces – At the upper levels, roof terraces will provide break-out space for users, which will feature areas of planting and furniture.
