Spacehub worked closely with Fletcher Priest Architects to develop the design of several terraces and outdoor spaces as part of the commercial office redevelopment of Marylebone House, London. The project team undertook extensive consultation with both the local planning authority and local residents to ensure we took a sensitive approach to design, balancing the provision of high quality office space in the City of Westminster whilst maintaining privacy for the adjacent residents.

The design of the four accessible terraces includes planting to all the edges, providing a green outlook for residents and office workers inside the building. The concept behind the planting was inspired by the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, where planting and architecture work together to create a delightfully exotic pocket of green in an otherwise urban context.
