The design of the courtyard for this small, luxurious residential project was vital as it had to fulfil a number of different functions, from parking to a communal social space. Along with high quality paving materials we developed a simple planting palette of low-level plants in white and purple, with trees including magnolia and liquidambar.  By introducing vertical green walls and a biodiverse roofscape, we introduced as much biodiversity and greenery as possible while maintaining a visual calm that complements the architecture. The former light-industrial site is being transformed to become a peaceful urban oasis.
