Spacehub worked closely with Assael, Bilfinger, GVA, RGP, Shear Design, XC02, ARC and Four Communications, on behalf of Abbey Wood Property Limited on this mixed – use regeneration project. The site, adjacent a prominent junction, featured a PDSA (People’s Dispensary for Sick Animals) facility and a car-wash. With the arrival of the Abbey Wood Crossrail station and the extensive regeneration the area is undergoing, this project provided an opportunity to create a more appropriate use for the site and to contribute to the wider regeneration of Abbey Wood. These proposals will provide much needed housing and new commercial space while retaining the PDSA (well regarded locally) on site in modern facilities. The landscape features a series of residents’ gardens at podium and roof level, bio-solar and bio-diverse roofs and enhanced public realm designed along shared surface principles.
