London Wall Place construction well under way

Spacehub are excited to be progressing works on site at London Wall Place – a significant new office development in the City of London featuring a hectare of new public realm, designed in collaboration with Make architects.

The development is seeing a radical overhaul of this neglected post-war urban environment and a return to people-focussed public realm designed as a garden retreat and celebration of the heritage of the site.

The landscape will feature over 500sqm of green wall, over 1,400sqm of biodiversity roofscape, 1300sqm of lawns and planting and a 50m long water feature lining a new north-south route through the site. The rich planting palette, themed on nature reclaiming the city, responds to microclimate ranging from woodland edge to ornamental English rose garden and includes significant new mature trees, specimen shrubs and tree ferns.

This new, verdant and ecologically rich space will create a new context for the ruins of the medieval St. Alphage Priory.

There is going to be a lot of activity on site between now and summer 2017. We look forward to keeping you updated here on our workshop.
