Spacehub worked closely with architects ACME on behalf of Folkestone Harbour and Seafront Development Corporation on the proposals for Shoreline – the first phase of a strategic masterplan on the Kent coast.
Shoreline is a crescent style plot which creates a sheltered podium garden, which will be lushly planted and provide play and amenity space for residents. On the beachside, the townhouses have individual front gardens planted with salt-tolerant dunescape-style planting inspired by the landscape of Dungeness. To the north of the site, the first phase of improvement works to Lower Sandgate road include a curvilinear planter, street trees, and high quality paving. These works will tie together with future improvements to Marine Parade which will create a green boulevard acting as the spine of the seafront masterplan.
