Spacehub worked in close collaboration with Morris + Company Architects to develop the landscape and public realm associated with the new residential scheme in Canary Wharf. The proposals include a new publicly accessible park, improvements to the surrounding public realm and a new podium play terrace.
We worked together with Morris + Company to develop a design language for both the architectural and landscape elements to establish a strong visual identity for the development. Wayfinding totems and seating elements reference the architecture using the same material palette whilst ensuring that entrances are clearly defined and viewed as public. The park contains a new area of play, swales and SuDs features, and extensive tree planting.
The design also proposes changes to the public realm to improve the surrounding streetscape to support Tower Hamlet’s Liveable Streets Programme. New paving and re-configured parking allows for better access and a safer environment for pedestrians.
